Crayola makes a set of markers called 'Jumping Colors'. They come with a set
of 3-D galsses (Not the 'movie' kind). Several years ago, I gave one of my
sons a pack for his birthday. We soon discovered that you didn't need the
markers, you needed the glasses. The tablecloth was a black background with
a bright party print, and WOW!!! I used the information on the glasses and
tracked down the company that made them. They will share the information
with teachers, and sell the glasses for about $.50 - $1.00/pair (I forget.)
Anyway the accompanying information was valuable - how the glasses were made
and why they worked. It would make a great science/art tie in. The glasses
are 'red' sensitive, meaning that red pops out, blue recedes... same as usual
- but with greater effect. I used regular markers with mine (on a
tesselation), I'm sure any medium would work... I can probably find the info
if somebody
wants it.
