One wonders why you need to be so specific about the works of Miro to
10 year olds. I would have thought that his work would only be
breifly referred to as part of a look at abstract and nonfigurative
art in general. If you want to teach about absrtraction, then
possible start out by having the class draw as realistically as
possible then use a "cubist" approach by srtaightening lines and
simplifying shapes. Gradually the work becomes abstracted and then yu
can move into non figurative pure design .. But this too is probably
too advanced a concept for 10 year olds.
I would like to here more about the hospital school in which you
