Hello Getty listserv members! I have an important announcement to pass
along to you. Thanks for taking time to read it!

The Very Special Arts Young Soloists Program was established to recognize
outstanding young musicians with disabilities, ages 25 and under. Here is
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for musically talented students or young
professionals to earn scholarship funds and perform at The John F. Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. The Panasonic Young
Soloists Award is sponsored by the Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company.
Applicants are required to send an application form, a brief autobiography,
and a video or audio tape recording. Applications must be postmarked by
November 3, 1997. For application materials, contact Very Special Arts,

Very Special Arts is an international non-profit organization that was
founded in 1974 by Jean Kennedy Smith and is an affiliate of the John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Very Special
Arts promotes arts, education, and creative expression, involving children
and adults with disabilities.
