How can you paint without a paint shirt?? I wear mine every day. I have
ruined alot of clothes without one when I first started teaching. I
bought some smocks from the beauty shop that they used when dying hair
and the paint NEVER goes through. It has saved alot of clothes.
As for the children they never paint without one in my class. Children
are going to get paint on themselves no matter what. Some children used
a plastic bag and make a hole for their heads and hands and the paint
NEVER goes through and its not long so it doesn't get into the paint. I
am surprised that parents don't call and complain about paint getting on
their children's clothes.
When I first started teaching I let everyone paint even if they were
not wearing a paint shirt but too many parents called complaining about
paint on their kids clothes and WHY? did I let them paint . Well after
that I learned a lesson and every child was to have a paint shirt in
order to paint. They always have their paint shirts on BEFORE I get to
their class (talked to the teacher about saving time) and newspapers on
their desks.
