teaching art to the deaf

I am researching the differences of hearing children to the deaf , in
particular to the visual perception and then to the act of making visual
art , but any thing on the creative differences will do .
Things like spatial awareness and colour or even perspective awareness, is
there any work done on this already as I haven't been able to locate it yet
if it is there, help.
