Hi everyone,
I teach 8th grade art and did not have very much success with the first painting project I gave them this year. I'm working in a special ed school so the kids are very ADHD, and have a lot of trouble with small details (ie. staying in the lines) unless they have OCD ( not a joke). After teaching them some basic color theory which suprisingly none of them had been exposed to I began the project. They were to design a thematic quilt with 9 squares and a border design. Very cute assignment but I got terrbible results from this semester's students and I just don't think they had very much fun. I would like to do something where I can give them some basics but where they can be more successful.
