What about a move from middle school to high school?
I've been contemplating that decision myself. I've
been teaching middle school for six years, and I
absolutely love it, and I don't get the attitudes.
However, my job is year round, and if I pass National
Boards this year I'll be able to afford going to a
traditional calendar and having actual summers off
(ahhh...the thought of it). I enjoy eighth graders
most, so I have been thinking about the transition to
high school. Any advice from you all? Since I enjoy
teaching middle school (and it seems that teachers
like us are rare) should I stay put, or should I
broaden my horizons?
