My fourth grade students did a variation of one of the fishes on IIAD.
We did patterns with black sharpie - two sides, and we sewed them together.
Students stuffed them with newspaper and sewed them shut. I kept them
around the art room for a while, intending to use them for a show. I just wasn't
getting too excited about them, so we took the fish outside and misted them
with two or three colors of spray paint. The pattern still showed through and
they were beautiful. I have a photo if you would like.
