As an Admissions Counselor, you would represent the college at high school visits, college fairs, and career day events; communicate institutional messages; and educate students/parents on career opportunities available in the visual arts. Other duties would involve, facilitating student tours/appointments/interviews, conducting portfolio reviews, and coordinating and/or assisting with all admissions-related events: new student orientation, open houses, and Saturday tour days, and national portfolio day events.
To be a counselor, you must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; strong problem-solving skills; a background in art is a bonus; have a valid driver's license ; and be able to work some nights and weekends.
