glass etching

I was given a Dremel tool not long ago and it had one bit that
is for etching, so I tried it on a scrap piece of glass. Fun,
fun. I have a question though, with something dark behind the
glass, I can clearly see the design, is there something I can
brush over the etched are to make it so up more, or make it
frosted looking.
