Re: student evaluate teacher?

I always have the students do an evaluation at the end of the year (usually
2-5). I ask them what their favorite lesson was, what they favorite art medium
is, what kinds of projects they would like to do next year and if there is an
art medium they would like to try. I also have an "open" for any other
comments they would like to make.

I always always always learn a lot!!! But one thing that always makes me
feel good is that overall, the kids feel like they have learned something and
enjoy their time in art class. That makes me feel pretty OK!!! It is also a
positive way to end the year. I tell them that I read all of the evaluations
(and I DO!) and I use them to help plan for next year. AND I DO! It makes the
kids feel good to know I care enough to ask what they think and incorporate
their ideas into their curriculum.

Hope that helps!
