I suspect that, like letterpress printing and stone lithography, when the
technology moves on, it will become the sole territory of artists. Somebody
will still produce slide film, albeit expensively. If WE know that slide
film and projectors produce superior images, and that won't be lost on the
whole world just because it is lost on Kodak (which is struggling in the new
digital competition so making perhaps desperate changes).
