Just a note:
I, personally, as of last week, an VERY thankful to NIKE.The corporation gave 30 thousand (not million) to Portland (where I teach) and to Beaverton (their corporate headquarters and where I live)to help pass our tax measures. And they were the ONLY ones in the state that passed. So I get to keep my job as an art teacher for two more years.
Ironically, Phil Knight on his own, donated 50 thousand to support a slate of anti-tax candidates to our school board. And NONE of the 4 were elected. Go figure...

> After Nike decided to endow a high school athlete with a $90 million contract last week, I decided to start a movement here in Tennessee. Art educators here in town are going to write their corporate marketing department asking the shoe manufacturer to consider endowing art scholarships of $9 million.
