Next year my school will become a magnet school for foreign languages with students studying french or spanish. I will be designing my curriculum to create a very rich art/cultural experience focusing on countries, art and artists featuring both languages. Spanish is easy! French is hard! Of course the europen/classical french is easy, but I would like to go deeper than that. Many African countries have french as their official language if not the native language, also Hati, Laos, Lebanon, Switzerland, Canada, etc. I would love tradtional art, artists and especially resources (books, prints, videos) focusing on art from these other countries.
