If you want more background on the Gullah people and their baskets, I
recommend the novel "I Been in Sorrow's Kitchen and Licked Out All the Pots" by Susan
Straight. It's one of my favorite books and it really gives you a feel for a
culture in the U.S. that most people don't know about.
