Elmer's glue will soften with heat and moisture. You can scrap away as much
as possible, Then try soaking the remainder with warm water to emulsify it
to the point that you can soak it up with a wet sponge.

Subject: how do you remove Elmer's glue?

Okay Gang,
Help me out here. My daughter (age 6) did an art project last night in a
room with carpeting. She got about six quarter sized blobs of Elmer's glue
on the rug. I discovered them this morning. Is there a way to remove it?
Thanks --- Sky
