Nobody ever tells you how hard it is to be a new teacher----- student
teaching barely gives you a clue
Let go of wanting to be liked ----- just be genuine and be a
mother, and I mean that very sincerely ----- you have to be very genuine
about telling them how to "tie their shoes." They look for models, not
friends------just be a model. You know how to do that.

Well said. As a new teacher I have to admit i was curious about it too
though. Being liked and disliked is part of the job and I"m still coming to
grips with kind of stuff.
