The school in PISD that won the Annenberg/Getty TETAC grant program is Mitchell Elementary. I was their mentor from UNT.

Every elementary school has a full time art teacher in Plano. I wouldn't consider it art based, although one school did get a grant for an art based program. Can't remember the name right off the bat.
What we work towards is augmenting the Integrated Curriculum program which features the science and social studies units. We are working on a curriculum guide, (which I'm a part of) to make our program more uniform throughout the district. My teachers really appreciate me and the art program and I think most schools value the art programs at their schools. I love working in Plano. I'm just afraid that like everywhere else, the art program will get cut because of budget crunch. Because of Robin Hood, we are starting next year 13 million dollars in debt.
However, Plano has always been a progressive district and I'd say, come and apply. We add on new teachers every year. My school is Wells. Come and visit me sometime. Janet ---
