I currently teach photo and am very limited in my digital capabilities.I
feel that photography would be a more useful class to students in the future
if students could manipulate work and designs using the computer. With
digital becoming increasingly popular, traditional photography has gained a
younger brother who is more friendly and easier to get along with.
Traditional photography is a respected age old technique for creating an
image. It is no longer the ONLY way to create pictures. In the classroom,
traditional photography should go hand in hand with todays photo technology.
However I can see the cost increasing as it becomes less popular. Your first
scan can't beat seeing your first photograph come up in the developer!
