As I watched this video, I kept wishing the speakers would pick up the pace
and talk faster. I thought the colors were rather dull, too.
I read the book to my students as they work on their own Impressionism
paintings. The illustrations are much more colorful than the art in the
video and I can read at a faster pace. This seems to work better for me. As
I stated earlier, this was the first year that some students questioned the
relationship between Linnea and Mr. Bloom.
I do think the character Linnea "whines" a little too much in the book--I
hear enough of that at school!
