Wow...I would LOVE it if teachers asked me to put work up in their
areas! I could definitely use some more display space!
I agree with the idea of offering to mount something in their areas, but
try explaining to them that the work needs to go home after a certain
time, as parents really want to see what their kids are doing. I use
the cafeteria (TONS of work in our cafeteria), the office (glass shelves
and 18 frames to fill, as well as tables we can use), and the library,
and that is about it. Occasionally I spill over into our fine arts
center, but lower school kids don't normally go in the classroom hallway
display area...only the theater, so they don't see their work up there
unless if we take a field trip. I think it's great for upper schoolers
to see some lower school art too,though, so it's okay to do that. I am
always running out of space!
