I am curious what you all think I should do in this situation.
We have some very "in charge" 4th grade teachers at my school. They are
very direct, strict, etc.
Our first lesson was name color wheels in which we did their names in bubble
letters then divided the paper into six sections from the center. Wherever
their names fell, the color changed and became the complimentary color. All
that to say it was marker and simple and colorful.
I handed back this lesson in September/October. I found they had not sent
They told me, "we are saving these to put up for open house". Being new I
didn't know open house was Feb. but I thought oh, having thier names on the
wall to decorate their room will be nice.
Well they kept ALL the assignments!
The 4th grade parents haven't seen a lick of work! We got snow for the
open house and so they didnt have time to put anything up!
So I sent them an email and talked with one of them and they said "We'll get
their art back"
I dont want to make any enemies but I need to put my foot down next year, any
