I mix in those "dead white european males" (I am sure someone is offended by
that! Oh well....what can I say...I am beat and have 2 more months to go!)
with lots of other artists, architects, graphic designers, etc. This year my
students have studied, Eric Carle, Frank Lloyd Wright, Maya Lin, Lorenzo
Homar, M.C. Escher, Bridget Riley, Keith Harring, Frida Kahlo, Claude Monet,
Vincent van Gogh, Australian Aboriginal works, Wayne Theibaud, Georgia
O'Keeffe, Ashanti Kente Cloth, Paul Klee, Pablo Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci,
Edvard Munch, Hudson River School Painters, Rene Magritte, Chuck Close, Faith
Ringgold...etc.

I am sure all of you do these too! On another note, does anyone do a formal
assessment/evaluation of each student at the elementary level for the end of
the year? I am thinking of making up a check list in combination with some
sort of self-assessment.

Because....I don't have enough to do!

My intern begins on next Thursday....OH Happy Day!!!
