A texture rubbing hunt in the classrom, school, outside. Easy, fast,
manila, wax crayons with the paper casings cut off. Students can do rubbings
off shoe soles, too. After getting a page full of rubbings, use some dark
color drawing media (marker, ink, oil crayon) to highlight any shapes that
emerge.
