Hi All,
Been searching for sources of multicultural art. ie huichol yarn and bead
work, Peruvian weavings and clay, African, Melanesian, Asian and South
american masks, Oaxacan wood carvings.
In my surfing I have come across many items for sale on Ebay. Some of
the masks and weavings are amazing. The photos are usually very good quality,
as people are trying to sell these items. Right click and save the photo and
you have another visual resource to show your classes.(similar to old ways of
cutting up old Smithsonian and Geographics)
There are also many affordable items from Novica, apparently aligned with
National Geographic.

"a global community of empowered artisans and enthusiastic consumers, in
association with National Geographic. Enjoy more than 8,500 unique,
hand-crafted items from more than 1,700 artists and be a part of the global
cultural experience." They act as some sort of agent for selling native made
crafts.
"NOVICA sets itself apart by melding for-profit goals with a humanitarian
mission and sreamlined distribution strategy that cuts out multiple middlemen
and their markups" - LA Times
