Books + Art...
Perhaps the children could create their own books, ready for their own
story and their own illustrations (something for them to do this
summer). Or perhaps they could create new covers for their favorite
books. You'd probably have lots of Marc Brown and Eric Carle for the
younger set (teachers could help with favorite authors for various age
groups). Or perhaps take pictures of the students, cut their faces out
and glue it in place of the main charachter's picture that they've
drawn for the cover.
