I do load the kiln and put the kiln setter on for 1/2 hour , with just a very
low heat setting. I leave the kiln open a tad and all plugs removed to let
the moisture out. I do this several times a day...so it doesn't get too hot.
You still have to be careful, because sometimes the lower levels do not air
out enough. Sometimes putting them out in the sun helps...but remember you
can get stress cracks and warping if you dry too fast.
