I love tempera cakes. They last for years. (However, I don't use them that
often. I also use liquid tempera.) But they are mess free. The children
can mix colors right in the little boxes as long as they wipe them clean for
the next user. Or they can mix the colors in the little lids and then rinse
out the lids at the end. The colors are bright and opaque. They're
especially good for people on a cart who have to teach in carpeted
classrooms (me - years ago).
