Bunki, is it out of the question to develop a personal website that's independent from your school?? You've got such great stuff and I LIKED your old pages--and you're absolutely right about how some backgrounds really set off artwork. (Most of the time I've chosen black and I guess the tech people would have fits about that, huh?)
Ironically, I'm going about this "backwards," I suppose, in that I first created my personal site with all the students stuff and now I'm working on the school's website which will (eventually) include an online art gallery (but not all the lesson plans).
Of course in this case *I'M* the techie that'll be making the changes to the school's site, but anything that I do to the school's site will have to be done with the approval of too many administrators ;-)
But in this case, I don't care--I'll create whatever they want there but still maintain my own site.
Yeah, domains and webhosting can be costly, but to me it's worth doing it this way--the older I get the less willing I am to jump through too many hoops!
