Hi, my name is Amie Ciluffo and I am hoping to get some good advice from everyone reading this. I am a recent graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. I just received my Master's in Art Education and I am now starting to panic about a job for the Fall. I have sent information and applications to numerous schools around the U.S., but mainly in the Northeastern States. I have a job at Choate Rosemary Hall Prep School in Connecticut for part of the summer, but I'm wondering how much that will interfere with the interviewing process. My questions to all of you are:
-How do I work at Choate for the summer and still be considered a likely candidate for full time employment for the upcoming school year? Do I ask them for time off to go to interviews, or will phone interviews suffice without putting me at a disadvantage?
-What is the best way to follow up my letters of interest/applications to the schools I have applied to?
Any and all advice is welcome. If you know of any job openings, that would be great as well. Thanks in advance for your help!!
