I'm not a frequent 'post-er' either, ( I prefer that to 'lurker')
And as long as folks are thanking people, K.Gibran says, 'you give much but
know not that you give at all' - and that's how I feel about all of you.
Your web pages are my inspiration, and your lesson plans have made art come
alive for my students. I tell my kids and fellow teachers and anyone who
listens how lucky I am to have this message board. My kids know I ask for
help, and I tell them, this is Ms. Decker's idea, or Ms. Kramer's idea and
the one that always gets them is 'Remember, these are MIDDLE SCHOOL kids!!!'
ooooo they hate that(I teach high school!), and they know that the 'bar' is
being raised, and it can and is being done. I love it, and I love all of you.
I know I have a long way to go to be as knowledgeable as so many of you, but
it is a trip you have made less scarey and more successful with your ideas,
encouragement, funny stories, 'horror' stories, and your sincere and loving
care in all your amazingly fast responses to all the questions! May I be as
good a friend and experienced teacher to those who come after me as you all
are to me! I am a lucky person - I teach art, and I have my support group.
