I just had a chance to look the lesson up - great idea -

I have had my middle schoolers create a place setting based on a famous
person, and this spring I ended up on a site that had clay vessels based on
children's books (most likely something that I got from this list..) .. if
I combine those two with the shoes - I might try them as an opening activity
based on artist research for my 5th graders next year...
