Hello all,

In my last (and only) post, I asked for directions for "poppers."

I claimed to be a lurker.

To clarify that statement, I have read this list for the last four years.
In the process I have become very familiar with all who respond regularly.
I have also found that I am not the type person who belongs here. I have an
elementary certification with an add-on art degree. So no, I am not a
"real" art teacher. This list helped my to realize that, therefore, I
already know that my experiences and ideas are diminished.

I expand my files.

To clarify that statement, I know of no other place to gather excellent
information and lesson ideas. I teach 700 kids, 35 classes a week, 4 year
olds through 5th grade, on $500 a year, not in a room, on a stage while gym
classes are going on. Do I have lots of money for books, no, I go to the
library and "glean" what I can find, I want good lessons for my kids.

I made poppers as a kid, thought it was common information, not one of the
fifth graders could show me how to make one. I did go to the local library
and look in oragami books with no results.

So, I thought (my biggest problem, I guess) that I would for the first time
in 4 years ask someone (who I was sure had a kid making them right now) for
directions.

I realize this is an old discussion already, I have access to a computer two
mornings a week, this is it for the week.

Sorry I bothered any of you, it won't happen again.
