I have been known to walk over to the trash can in plain sight of the
students and bust a piece in the trash can if I even SUSPECT it breaks one
of my rules. These are simple - NO pipes, bongs, ashtrays, mushrooms, clay
guns, or body parts. If they cannot wear it on a t-shirt to school then they
cannot create it in my classroom. May sound harsh, but I'm not going to
answer to parents or administrators over something I personally don't
approve of (mainly illegal anyways).
