Open Art Studio is held last period of the day and is open to the first
dozen 4th thru 8th graders to sign up. Our school has a common study
hall during that period, and students who're not restricted for overdue
classwork can sign up. Of course I also have the option to restrict
students for overdue art classwork, too. Open Art Studio is a great
place to do posters, science dioramas, stage sets, free drawing,
catching up on art class projects, elaborating and extending art class
projects, or doing a painting, sculpture, or printmaking project of
your own initiative. I have some students who just like to sit in the
art room and read art books, and others who like the looser atmosphere
to socialize as they work on a project. The students must work on some
art oriented project. It is very popular, and there is almost always a
waiting list.

Sorry for the delay,
Mark
