We've had a cable modem since last fall. Being in a rural area, DSL isn't
available, though I've heard it's faster.

Yes, cable is expensive, but we're online so much that when we had dial-up,
I had to pay for a 2nd phone line. I dropped the 2nd line when we got the
cable service and so it's worked out to be about the same price.

I'd NEVER willingly go back to dial-up but if something faster comes along
for not much more $$, I'd jump on that, too!
