I have been on the ArtsEdNet list for about three years. In that time,
I have seen people come and go, disagreements, healthy debate----but the
main thing that has endured is the quality of ideas and the wealth of
experience that is freely shared.
In the ebb and flow of life, I have had more or less time to spend on
the computer with this list. For the past year, it has been less, and I
have mostly been a "lurker," I guess. But during these years, I have
contributed ideas with the group and with some individuals. I, too, have
mailed things to people but not in mass volume. And I almost always
received a thank you. Like some others, I am searching my brain and I don't
think I have been a "me too" person and I hope that I have expressed my
gratitude to the individuals who have shared with me.
Bunki, Woody and so many other regular contributors---I am in awe of
your generosity, your ability to do so much, and the clarity with which
you express yourselves. Your students are blessed to have you as a
teacher. I am glad you wrote and vented. It sounds as though it needed to
be said.
I have to agree that manners are important. I can't disagree with
what has been written already about that or add to it. I can do
this---thank you all for enriching my teaching with new ideas, techniques
and viewpoints. I have sung your praise to others, but have perhaps
forgotten to tell you how much you are all appreciated. Thank you.
