Sorry but I just feel this has to be said. I know others have voiced it to
me privately but I've just reached a point I have to vent.
Most of you know me and know that I find such pleasure in sharing what I
know or have with the rest of you...KNOWING that you will share also with me
(which most of you have done time and again). I truly feel what goes around,
comes around and more so on this listserv.
Recently I've been besieged with requests for the quilling instructions. Way
more than half have come from lurkers who never venture onto the list to
share ideas or offer opinions...who have never taken the time or interest to
share things with the rest of us. There are USERS and then there are TAKERS
and then there are those who have a good healthy blend of both. I realize
there are timid souls out there or people who feel they are new and have
nothing to offer but the fact is...YOU DO!
I learn new perspectives from new friends all the time.
I can't help but feel "used" by those who TAKE and don't GIVE BACK. I also
feel "used" when I spend my own $$$ to send you information by snail mail
and I don't even receive a thank-you or even an acknowledgement that you GOT
the dang thing. Remember, I'm paying for something for you to use!!!!
Where's your manners?
I know we get busy and forget...I'm as guilt as the rest...but I also know
when I've been taken for a ride...and I don't like that
feeling....especially from people who supposedly share the same interests as
I do. I feel a comradery with art teachers that I don't find with other
teachers by the sheer fact we share the same goals which aren't usually
shared by the general populace.
Since I'm on a roll, I'd like to mention how irritating it is to get a
message with only the words..."me too!"...with no mailing address. My
clairvoyant skills are rusty so I need more infomation A-N-D it would be
nice if you addressed me and talked to me as a person! I'm a fellow human
being, you know!
Know I have pissed off a few lurkers but if this message gets through to a
few, maybe it's been worth it. Toodles......Bunki
