Stephanie,

I asked this same question last year! This is my second year teaching
elementary art after a verrrrrry long absense. I came from founding and
directing a childcare facility, which definitely had me burnt to a crisp!
Personally, I don't know that there is ever going to be a time that I don't feel
somewhat overwhelmed. Those things which make me a good educator, mother, wife
are also what cause me to feel overwhelmed.

I have learned that it is okay to say "no" and not to over commit myself like I
used to do ALL the time. I am guilty of always wanting to do as much as
possible. I have tried to not be such a perfectionist. I have found that some
of what I think are my worst screw-ups are someone else's perfect projects.
Also, I find that older I get, the easier it is to learn from my mistakes. I am
much more organized than last year and have already started thinking of some
things to do for next year that should simplify my life even more.
Prioritize...family and you come first.

Working part-time or full-time would mean the same type of commitment for me.
Good luck.

Sandy
