I toss those in the trash right away. I made a little caddy out of wood by
drilling holes to store them upright. The blade tip is up and I also invert
the tip to store safely. This way dispensing the tool is somewhat of a
ceremony as I hand them out I put the tips in the right way and review
safety procedures with each student. This slows the pace and re focuses the
students.
