I know it is only Monday but it's been a great monday.
I introduced basket weaving to one group of 6th grade
today and they took off with it!! I cannot believe how
much fun it is to watch them help each other and
actually 'get it". I had one group start on Friday and
the other one start today.. well, when I got to my
class this morning, there were 15 kids in there-
WEAVING! Almost my entire 7th period class was in my
class doing art!
It was the best way to start off my day and I have
been on cloud nine all day. I also introduce coiled
basket weaving to the 7th grade today and they all
'got it' too!! What a great day I had- you would think
with summer only 8 days away the kids would be all
brain dead- but thankfully- mine are alive and kicking
in art!! Just wanted to share my 'kickin' day with all
of you!!
