  Take heart. You will see the benefits in unplanned places. A student that you run into over the summer who gives you the smile you know they earned by having something extraordinary in your show....maybe a parent you run into at the grocery store.
        Art shows are by nature very anticlimatic much like a theatre production. For me , I have to find a way to enjoy the hours of collecting,
  presenting and hanging the works so that there is a lesser let down. It is the process of getting it together that has to satisfy. Fellow teachers and students are often so self absorbed at the end of the year ( in my school many are worried about their jobs) that they overlook the simple thanks that they truly mean to offer.
  You are doing great things. Keep it up.
