Re: Art of Flight

I am looking into the way artists view flight from a scientific
perspective ... kites, hotair balloons, space flight, etc. I really
need something that relates to flight throughout the twentieth century.
I would like to have the flight vehicle shown in the image. For
example, Rousseau's self-portrait with the Paris skyline showing the
Eiffel Tower and a hotair balloon rising.

Does anybody have a website or book that shows jets that artists have
painted? I have one for Calder and another for Hundertwasser.

I am hoping to find a masterwork that includes the Wright Flyer.

How about some sculpture? Any suggestions for the way artists have
viewed flight in 3D?

Most of the aviation "art" websites I have found are (to be polite)
AWFUL.

Thanks for your help,
Pam
