I would like to boast about a different success story. I believe character
education is very important. I talk--really talk to many of my students and
they tell me all sorts of things. One student did a little prank in the fall
that I had not heard about until just the other day....I convinced her that
she did owe the teacher an apology (I just listed the teacher as Mr. "M").
Below is what she wrote to me (spelling errors and all...makes me glad all I
have to teach these kids is ART...and in subtle ways I get to teach how
great "THOU ART"...Oh LOL at me...I am a "woman with a mission"). She
included the e-mail she sent to the teacher. I am so glad I had to go back
in and load my kiln last night.....Just happened to decide I would clean up
my e-mail while I was there. Life is grand!
"mrs. decker i want to thank you for inspiring to tell mr "m" sorry and i
relized i am truley sorry i just hope he accepts my apology i did write him
well actually i emailed him and this is exactly what i said.....i tried to
tell him how deepley sorry i was but i dont think i did a very good job but
i did try anyways thank you again"
