I just talked to my rep today. I found out that we are not getting
the real pagemaker 6.5 program but a disk that has different
layouts on it and i can use it with Word. That way I can type in all
of my text. One font, one size. No creativity involved whatsoever.
She said the real program would cost about 1,500 per year to use
and our total bill for the year is only 4,000. I can't believe it! I'm
used to making a book with a total bill of 30,000. I don't know if
this is going to work out. I have to call downtown and see what the
stipend is. The old advisor doesn't even know! She was the asst.
principal. If it's not well over $1000, I doubt I will do it. And with
such a small bill from them there is no way they will offer a free
computer. They hardly make any money from us as it is!
oh well, I'll keep on trucking and see what happens. Mabey it will
be so easy to make that it is worth the extra bit of money i get.
The only problem is taking photos. The kids take them (haha) and
Lifetouch doesn't come out to take sports photos either.
