We just used liquid floor wax from the janitor. One bottle (16 oz.) lasts
forever. I would not eliminate the kiln wash. The wax really only helps
to keep the glaze from being absorbed by the bisqueware. You will still
need to wipe the bottoms; it will just be easier.
