The more I learn about the murals, the more I am in awe of Richard's
work, too. He is an incredible artist, not to mention that he is truly
a nice human being.
He and his wife, Katherine, are wonderful. During the NAEA conference,
I was able to visit Richard's studio. What an experience! I didn't
want to leave. At the time he was in the process of completing a series
of murals for Nashville that traced the history of the city.
Writing a children's book about his work will be lots of fun. I think
kids will enjoy seeing how he "mends the urban environment."
