Anyone out there with ideas for critiquing High Schoolers work.

When I taught high school I did the Describe (using elements, principles,
and art vocab., as well as describing subject), Analyze (how were the
elements and principles used in the piece), Interpret (using clues gotten
from really studying the work, what does it mean? Why did the artist create
it?), Judgement (is the art work effective, in what ways? In what ways is
it not effective?). I believe this format was taught to me when I learned
about DBAE, but I'm not sure. We did these steps in writing at first (more
private). Once we got the hang of it, we did it in discussion form (we
practiced on reproductions of master work).
