Sorry to hear about your hand. Hope you improve soon. I'm always learning
new hazards in the artroom. It' my curse (smile). If harm is there, I'll
find it.

When I first went back into teaching, I had a part-time position for a year.
I worked/slaved over my curriculum/planning and never left for the full day
with so much I thought needed done. When given full-time I panicked thinking
I would be overwhelmed. Funny but I found I didn't work anymore than I did
the first schedule. Guess the adage saying that if you work part-time, you
might as work full-time giving you more $$$, benefits, and the same amount
of work preparation is true. Unless you have 6 diff. preps, you'll usually
have 2 that might be the same grade so you just teach the same lesson again
with no hassle.

It took me about 3 years to feel somewhat non-overwhelmed with the whole
thing of teaching part-time or full-time. I worried too much. I didn't relax
because I wasn't sure if I was doing it all correctly (wish I had had this
list to rely on). Once you fill up your bag of tricks with workable
projects, then it becomes more fun to relax and experiment (not the terror
kind) and you'll start enjoying the kids. Toodles....Bunki
