Where in Michigan do you teach. I, too, am on the cart in Michigan, in
Indian River.
I could help you more if you are close by, if not here are my suggestions:
1. Ask for lead time between classes -
2. Use same media for each class.
3. Put only what you need for the day on cart
4. Buy those plastic drawers at Walmart and smaller containers to fit
inside and put crayons and marker in them
5. Ask for a display area where only art work is shown
6. Recognize that the teachers will always give you a hard time because
they resent you in their space so don't ever take them personally
7. Talk to your union rep and see how they can help. I filed a grievance
this year when they put me in the gym and got an office.
Don't take yourself too seriously, just do the best you can.
You are doing the hardest job around, in my opinion so treat yourself
royally!
